Description
I am fascinated by Lana Del Rey’s revision of the adolescent world. She is an outstanding exponent that breaks with the tradition of naive, clumsy boys full of pimples going to their Prom dreaming of dating a busty cheerleader or becoming a football quarterback.
This untouchable world has been gradually being contaminated from literature and cinema, and the imagery of the sordid, so limited to the marginal, has ended up settling in it. Drugs, mistreatment, abuse, promiscuity, alienation … all that we used to find in the suburbs and ports of large cities, now in the high school of my own daughter. Wonderful!
