Miss Van (Toulouse, France, 1973) Behind this signature is urban artist Vanessa Alice Bensimon. She began painting with brushes on the walls of her hometown in the 1990s and is now considered one of the most established international contemporary urban artists. She has lived and worked in Barcelona since the early 2000s. After several years dedicated to her studio painting work, in recent years she has created murals in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, the United Kingdom, and other European countries, marking a return to the street art of her beginnings, but imbuing her new works with greater depth, emotion, and a heightened darkness and romantic delicacy.
