Hitos de la arquitectura de Madrid
This free exhibition will be on view at the gallery from Saturday, October 3, to Sunday, November 15, and is part of the program for the 23rd Madrid International Architecture Week 2026, organized by the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM).
American photorealist painter Danny Heller, known for his devotion to mid-20th-century modern architecture, has turned his attention to several buildings that form the visual identity of the Spanish capital. His trips to Madrid, undertaken for his exhibitions at La Fiambrera Art Gallery, have led him to fall in love with several of the city’s vistas, allowing the public to admire not only the buildings themselves but also the artist’s talent and technique. These works are featured as part of the program for the XXIII International Architecture Week of Madrid 2026, organized by the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM). Heller explains:
“Madrid has such a rich and varied history of architecture that it makes it challenging to find a single period to focus on. For my exhibit during Madrid Architecture Week at La Fiambrera Gallery, I want to showcase iconic examples of 20th Century design, but include select examples of early precursors that have in some way influenced them. As my work particularly centers on midcentury architecture, my goal is to draw connections between iconic structures from varying time periods throughout the city and show how their development led to the Modern design language we see today.”
